Here is my attempt:

Does it count if your avatar was originally done in MS Paint frame-by-frame? :igor:
[EDIT /]
I rate your avatar MS Paint re-rendition as a 7. The arms are a bit the wrong color/shade.

I didn't bother to try and color match, trace, or even do a good job with tools, nor did I spend more than a couple minutes on it. I just used the standard colors on Windows 7's Paint color palate, the pencil tool, and the paintbrush tool, but without changing brushes.

the swords and crack were actually drawn in paint
The sky gradient and world were SSC's in AVS (unsurprisingly to anyone I guess)
It was all stitched together in.. paint.
yea really hi-tech
If I had to do it in paint alone, the gradients would be gone, that's all.

Thanks, Q. Really, a lot of these work well in paint, at least enough to recognize who's it is.

And on that note; the quality of this thread is almost illegal for the bin.
And with the amount of genuine ms paint avatars, that kinda spoils the whole "hey, why don't we use these ones for a bit!" thought that I had.

damn havok physics, if you miss the first shot, the deer runs, if you kill it on the first shot, but it's on a slope, IT STILL RUNS :(

Here in the mountains, we have trouble sometimes because a lot of older retired guys like to hunt when everyone else is off to work or school, which would be fine except...
1.) Old dude shoots deer with bow (guns of any kind aren't allowed for deer in our county, only small game can be hunted with guns here).
2.) Deer makes it half way down very steep mountain slope and dies; or as you said dies instantly and rolls into a tree partway down the slope.
3.) Old dude thinks he's still young and starts descending hill.
4.) Old dude forgets that he has a quiver full of razer-blade-head arrows slung over his shoulder or attached to his bow, or knows but won't leave them at the top for fear of theft or misplacing or laziness not wanting to climb back up.
5.) Old dude falls, and instead of just breaking a hip, he adds impalement or multiple impalements.
6.) Old dude begins to think he should have just waited for his grandson to come home from school to help but instead finds his fate dying near the already dead deer.
That sounds like a pretty exaggerated and morbid story, but unfortunately it's a story the locals read about every couple years. When that shit happens, there's no one there to hear cries for help, and by the time someone finds the victim he's either frostbitten, snake-bitten, severely injured, or dead.
I haven't hunted down here yet this year because I've been quite busy with work, coaching, and trolling here on winamp (by the time I get home it's too dark to hunt legally anyway), but if I do find time to hunt here, do I'll have to keep all that in mind.

dear lord, yeah i can see how it'd happen in real life but...
in skyrim, a video game which uses havok physics engine it happens for entirely different reasons, havok has no concept, understanding or care for friction or any of the implications thereof, there's a mage college building that has a long bridge out to it's entrance, jump up on one of the perfectly flat edges of the bridge and go take a dump or leave the character there for a few minutes and you'll come back to find that even though you were standing on a flat surface you've somehow slid off of it into the cliff and river below.
hell the scenario in that crappy four panel comic happens pretty easily, the first bent line is meant to be the bow you're shooting not the side of the cliff in panel 2.
and the rivers! cripes, sometimes i'm surprised i can move upstream in them, piss off a bear, lead it to some river, watch it get swept down river against it's will and yet somehow i can just magically walk the other way pretty much ignoring the current of the river entirely.
i may as well clarify something about the game while i'm at it, it's not an rpg you never have or get base attributes and experience literally doesn't exist in the game and there's for the most part only one class of character you'll ever wind up (swordsman who knows a few spells) but for an action and adventure title with some very heavy RPG elements it's pretty good and i'd be lying if i said i didn't have fun with it, just don't pay for the fucking thing it's too dumbed down for consoletards to give bethesda any money for.

the physics of homosexual deer?
seriously though, havok as a physics engine is for some uses quite a good physics engine.
the problem though with it is that it's designed to be lightweight and cause as little impact on the performance the user sees in the game as possible so things that aren't totally necessary, like friction aren't simulated at all.
that's true for pretty much any game that doesn't have driving as either the main or one of it's main central features, even games which do largely center around driving don't always have decent or even good physics that take friction into account.
now on the other hand you can look at game like GTA IV which do look at friction in the case of the cars tires on the road and also the suspension and some other parts of the cars, GTA IV was an extremely high budget game which has driving as debatably it's largest underpinning feature (driving) it's arguable that shooting is the main feature, but it depends on the player.
if you've ever played GTA IV play one of the earlier games in the series, the driving isn't unrealistic by too much in comparison to in IV but you can definitely say that it is much better in that one by a very noticeable amount.
it should also be noted that mafia 2 had a very superb physics engine for driving too, arguably better than the one in GTA IV, you can note that the cars are physically simulated extremely well in this case, but it takes it a step further than even GTA IV did, tires, suspension and pretty much everything is simulated in mafia 2 to the same standard it was in GTA IV but the tires is really where mafia 2 outshines GTA IV, if you switch to the cinematic camera you can watch the tires flex when you go over bumps realistically as well, the air pressure in the tire as well is simulated.
now i know what you may be thinking, "but wait, you can shoot out a tire in both games, how can you say one simulates air pressure in the tires and the other does not given that observation?" simply put, that is in part correct, both do simulate the tires of a car being in one of two states "flat" or "not flat" but in mafia 2 it's not a simple "flat" or "not flat" state, if the tire is considered "not flat" calculations of the car's weight when you go over a bump are simulated as well and if that amount of force is high enough the tire will act appropriately and will flex under the weight of the vehicle going over the bump, if there is in the "flat" state however it is removed from the rim of vehicle and the only calculations there are between the road and the bare metal rim.
